9th Battalion Mess Function, Gallipoli Barracks

Due to limited size of the venue, we will perform outside the dinning venue.
Meals: Yet to be confirmed: (Last years was as follows and will most likely be the same: After the 2nd set you will be invited to a meal away from the venue (sorry limited space) after which you will be free to leave. I have yet to firm up our meal venue but it will be revealed on arrival. I will remain to continue with the toasts.)
MAP: As attached.
PARKING: Available prior to the entrance on your right as you enter the street. You can just see the car park on the map.
UNIFORM: Glengarries. Sorry but as it is a formal night Jackets, ties and medals (if applicable) to be worn.
TUNE UP: in the cark park area.
TIMINGS: Yet to be confirmed: (Last years was as follows and will most likely be the same: Tune up: 5.30pm for a 6:15pm 1st start. The 2nd start will probably be during the entree/Dinner set for approx 7.10 – 7.20.)
FORMING OF BAND: Yet to be confirmed: (Last years – March in single file to the tap of the drum prior to playing and we will just form a semi circle facing the venue – near the flag pole.)
TUNES: Yet to be confirmed: (Last years – There was a 15 minute 1st set and then a 10 minute 2nd set (approx).)
TUNE SETS: (may change but at this stage)
1st Set: Infantry Song/ Killahoe, La Boum/Wings, Australiana Set, World Ward tunes, Can Can.
2nd Set: Frog Hollow Rangers, Green Hills Battles over, Amazing Grace, Black Bear/Cutting Bracken/Black Bear.
